The Rural Mental & Behavioral Health Alliance (RMBHA) is a partnership between Healthy Rural California, Stanford University and UC Davis School of Medicine to expand capacity for underserved communities in Northern California. Resident and faculty of all 3 organizations will connect Tele-Psychiatry services with tribal communities primarily. The Stanford University ECHO Program is the genesis of this idea. RMBHA was launched in January 2023 so stay tuned for more details. Contact Kristy Bird MaKieve, CEO, at firstname.lastname@example.org with partnership ideas.
Beginning in the north state, Healthy Rural California aims to meet the public health needs of California’s rural communities by closing the gap in quality, access, and equity and eliminating health disparities. We will fulfill our mission through building strong partnerships and coalitions, increasing the number and quality of physicians and other healthcare providers, and addressing rural community health needs such as mental health, opioid use disorder, and excessive alcohol use.
