Enloe Health
Enloe Health is a 298-bed Level II Trauma Center in Chico, California that serves as the regional medical center for six counties. Enloe offers a vast array of clinical services including cardiovascular, emergency, neurology, maternity care, oncology, orthopedics, radiology/nuclear medicine, rehabilitation, critical care, surgery, wound care, and more. Enloe Health will serve as the primary clinical site. The rotations that will take place at this site include inpatient medicine, critical care/ICU, emergency medicine, sports medicine, orthopedics, general surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, community/population health, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, hematology/oncology, nephrology, and urology. Some residents will be assigned to Enloe Health as their Continuity Clinic site which will provide their longitudinal FM continuity patient panel and additional FM clinic month rotations in PGY2 and PGY3. In addition to the rotations listed above, elective rotations will be offered through Enloe Health.
Northern Valley Indian Health – Chico
Northern Valley Indian Health (NVIH) is a private, non-profit tribal corporation that seeks to reestablish care services for Indians in Northern California. Since 1971, NVH has provided medical, behavioral health, and dental services in Butte, Colusa, Glenn, and Yolo counties. Residents will spend one month of outpatient pediatrics in PGY1 and PGY2 at the outpatient clinic site. Some residents will be assigned to NVIH as their Continuity Clinic site which will provide their longitudinal FM continuity patient panel and additional FM clinic month rotations in PGY2 and PGY3.
Beginning in the north state, Healthy Rural California aims to meet the public health needs of California’s rural communities by closing the gap in quality, access, and equity and eliminating health disparities. We will fulfill our mission through building strong partnerships and coalitions, increasing the number and quality of physicians and other healthcare providers, and addressing rural community health needs such as mental health, opioid use disorder, and excessive alcohol use.
